BUYING NOTES
Used DAP battery
When comparing used players, battery information needs context. The settings used, the condition of the individual battery, and the checks recorded for that unit all matter.
Advertised runtime is not the unit in your hand
Spec-sheet hours are measured under a stated load, volume, screen, and codec. A used DAP has its own history of charging and use. Its runtime can differ from a manufacturer test even when it charges and plays normally. A–D grades describe visible cosmetic condition; they are not battery-health scores.
Gain, outputs, screen, wireless, and apps
Runtime can vary with headphones and volume, output and gain settings, screen use, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and background apps. Compare results under similar conditions rather than treating one hour figure as a promise for every listening setup.
What HiFiLoop actually checks
During inspection we check basic charging and observe battery behavior in normal use. A complete discharge or battery-runtime test is not part of the standard process. Any separately measured result belongs to that specific listing and should be read alongside its test conditions.
What to look for in a listing
Look for charging notes and any disclosed unusual drain or power behavior, rather than inferring endurance from the cosmetic grade. A fitted case, replacement battery, or charging cable should be described when included; accessories and service history should not be assumed from stock specifications.
Tell us how you will use the player
For a sourcing request, name the model, your headphones or IEMs, whether you mostly stream or play local files, and the outputs you use. Add any requirement for charging accessories or a specific firmware version. That helps the team assess candidate units against your actual use.
