What to check on used IEMs and earphones

Fit and skin-contact parts

Check the condition of shells, nozzles, filter mesh and included tips. Read what was cleaned or replaced for the exact unit; do not assume every accessory is new. Fit and included tip sizes need to suit your use.

Connector, cable and source

Confirm the earpiece connector and cable termination, including any proprietary fit. Look for disclosed cable-sheath damage, oxidation, loose sockets or playback imbalance. Tell us your source and output when asking about a pairing.

Wireless and TWS details

For wireless units, check that both earpieces, the charging case and required accessories are included. Read the pairing, charging and app observations actually reported. Battery runtime and ongoing app support are not implied by cosmetic grade.
